Privacy policy for the Happy Anxious Cloud Android app
Last updated: May 18, 2026
Happy Anxious Cloud (we’ll call it by the nickname “Cloudy” from now on) is an Android app for keeping a private daily mood questionnaire. This policy explains exactly what happens to your data. The short version: Cloudy has no servers and no account, collects nothing, and sends nothing anywhere. Your data stays on your device.
Data controller: Marko Topolnik Contact: marko.topolnik@gmail.com
When you use Cloudy you enter answers to a daily 12‑item questionnaire. From those answers the app derives two category scores (an anxiety score and a depression score) and the date of each entry. This information relates to your mental wellbeing and is therefore sensitive, health‑related information. It is stored in a database in Cloudy’s own private storage area on your device.
Cloudy does not ask for or store your name, email, account, device identifiers, location, contacts, or any advertising identifier.
Your entries are used only on your device, to:
That is the entire purpose. The data is never used for profiling, advertising, or analytics.
INTERNET
permission. It is technically incapable of transmitting your data off the
device on its own.If you enable the daily reminder, Cloudy uses the Android notification
permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) to show a local reminder generated entirely on
your device. There is no push server and no message is sent or received over the
network.
Cloudy itself never transmits data. Data can leave the device only in these two ways, both under your control:
Your data stays on your device until you remove it:
Because the developer holds none of your data, there is no remote profile to access, correct, export, or erase. You already have full, direct control on the device: you can review and edit every entry, export your data at any time, and erase the local data by uninstalling the app. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact marko.topolnik@gmail.com.
Cloudy is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone — it collects no personal data at all.
Your entries are kept in Cloudy’s private app storage, protected by Android’s application sandbox and your device’s own security (such as your lock screen and device encryption). Cloudy does not add a separate encryption layer beyond these operating‑system protections, so keeping your device secured with a screen lock is recommended.
Cloudy is a personal self‑tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or professional advice. If you are concerned about your mental health, please consult a qualified professional.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this page and the “Last updated” date above will change. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect in a new app release.
